Visitors and exhibitors alike approved of the new venue and home for the VICTAM INTERNATIONAL 2011 exhibition and conferences which was held at Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany from 3 – 5 May 2011.

Many of the visitors had travelled a long way to attend the show, in all there were visitors from 118 countries and over 8000 individual industry executives came through the doors over the show time period.

A post-event survey concluded that the 2011 event proved to be a great success with both the exhibitors and visitors.

The overall description for the event was high quality. The visitors undoubtedly found this with the number of exhibitors. There were a total of 238 Victam exhibitors from 28 countries and the visitors also found the standard of exhibits and the selection of products and services offered by the exhibitors as excellent.

Coming from Canada I found the exhibition to be in a great location where I could walk to/from every day. Access to accommodation was fantastic too. The ease of registration was excellent and the quality of the exhibitors outstanding.”

92% of the visitors confirmed they would visit the next show.

The exhibitors also found the number of visitors were good and the quality excellent. 28.8% of all the visitors were of a “director” level.

The exhibitions now co-located with the VICTAM show also proved popular. The GRAPAS show - grain processing, rice and flour milling - brought in new exhibitors, visitors and conference delegates.

The feed ingredients and additives exhibition FIAAP attracted a lot of interest. A number of these visitors commented that they would like to see more ingredient and additive suppliers at the next exhibition in 2015 exhibition.

The exhibitions, which were larger and had more exhibitors than the last shows in 2007, provided the perfect platform to launch new products and services to the market.

Silver Award: Buhler for the revolutionary The DPEF Pellet Mill.

Gold Award: Amandus Kahl – for the recently introduced Crown Expander.

The newly introduced GRAPAS Ingenuity Award organized by Grain & Feed Milling Technology Magazine:

Highly recommended runner up: Golfetto Sangati of the Pavan Group for their Rollermill Synthesis SY09.

The First Prize Winner: CPM Europe, the new product that was launched that won this award is Roll Speed Measurement.
